Tributes to Bruce Johnson​

It was always a pleasure when you pulled up at grandmas. I always spoke so lovingly of my big cousin. The smoothness in your voice, the style in the leather bomber u once came to visit in and your Eldorado Cadillac. Though you were grown and I was a child I admired the type of man you were and how you presented self. I always said I’m going to be as cool as cousin Bruce when I grow up. Even talking to you as a grown up I still loved the convos. I learned so much as a man from you. I thought this year I would be able to pull up to you. Riding and dressed as you would be when you came to visit cool, in Bruce fashion literally and figuratively. But our window in life closed but thank you for all your advise, your words of comfort, for a lil kid who thought you were one of the coolest men on the planet. I love you, and you will always be carried by me daily.

​Words can’t express how I feel. Losing you wasn’t ever something I would have ever imagined. I appreciate you always being here for mom, dad, Chloe and I. You always cared for Chloe and I with love because we were an extension of your sister. I have peace in knowing that you love me. Even if we hadn’t talked in a while, you never missed a birthday and always have been there for big milestones in my life and I believe that spoke to your character and who you are. You love your family and we felt that. Your smile, laughter, wisdom and just presence is what I’ll miss the most. I wish we had more time!

Don’t worry, we have mommy. We will support her the best way we can and help her through this. We will be who she’ll be able to lean on. Just know, you’ll be missed greatly. 

I will miss you dearly in the flesh however, I have joy because you’re with Jesus and without pain. You fought a great fight. We will never forget you and always keep who you are alive. You have always been here for everyone else and now you have your eternal reward.

To my Dear Uncle Bruce,

From your humor, stubbornness, and laugh that would echo in any room, those are just a few things I will remember about you. 

Your kindness and love for your family is a lasting representation of what a family man should strive to be. 

Though you have departed from this earth, the life you lived will forever be admired. The impact you had will be remembered for generations. 

Though we are devastated by the loss of you, I have solace that you are in a place where pain ceases to exist. 

I will miss you dearly, and I will never forget you.

My deepest condolences to the love ones of Bruce. I feel blessed to have known him and spent time with him & his beautiful family,  which I feel  very close too.


He was a beautiful person and he will truly be missed. I  always admired his dedicated service to his country , and I am truly grateful and thankful for his service. Jackie , Darnel, & Deborah know that I love You very much and I am  saddened by his passing but I know he is with his father in heaven which brings joy to my heart!!


Although I am not with You physically, I am with you spiritually. You are in my prayers & thoughts.
